Towards modelling of energy storages for use in an intelligent energy management system

With the transition towards renewable energy underway, demand-side management together with local generation of is receiving growing attention. Optimizing self-consumption locally produced can not only have financial benefits for respective household or business (and improve their autarky from increasingly unstable markets), but also help grid stability against volatility some sources energy. In order to optimize a given enterprise an system, demand and generation, as well behaviour all controlled devices be forecast. There are many different methods mathematically modelling these properties, task becomes especially challenging dynamic systems like storage systems. Here, state charge at specific time point depends on both external influences previous point's charge, thus errors quickly accumulate. context small medium agricultural enterprises, examples such electrical storages, battery, thermal storages milk cooling tank heat pump. this work, common way explored, namely parameter identification. parameters ordinary differential equation representing assumed physical system identified measured data states controls in optimization problem.
